    Description of the role

    Austin Engineering are on the hunt for qualified and experienced HD Fitters who will have the  opportunity to champion the delivery of our innovative products across multiple WA sites for our clients within the mining and resources sector. As a knowledgeable, and flexible HD Fitters, you will make your mark in the WA resources industry by representing a global and reputable engineering firm that do great things and keep the WA economy moving.

    Mandatory Qualifications & License

    SKILLS & EXPERTISE

    The Ideal candidate 

    • Rio Tinto approved and up to date with all inductions
    • Experience fitting dump truck trays preferred but not necessary
    • Previous supervisory experience or the desire to advance into supervisory roles when required on site
    • Experience working on dump truck trays and excavator/loader buckets (793, 830e and 930e)
    • The role will be diverse in travelling to various mine sites around Western Australia supporting our products in the field, conducting repairs as required, offering advice and support
    • Liaising with the site teams to support tray fitments
    • Being on site when any new Austin product is being fitted to a machine
    • This role offers career growth opportunity into a Product Support Advisor, Sales or operations role in our business
    • Able to adapt to rosters that require flexibility
    • Casual pay rates $85 p/h
    • Demonstrated understanding and commitment to safe working practices.

    • Ensuring all activities are conducted in a safe and efficient manner.

    About You

    The successful applicant will possess the following skills and experience:

    • Minimum Cert III Trade Qualification in Fitting and Machining (essential)
    • Minimum 1 year’s post-trade experience in complex computerized Machining Techniques would be advantageous.
    • Extensive knowledge of capacity and capability with Lathe, Milling (both horizontal and vertical), Borers (both horizontal and vertical) and multi-tasking machines would be an advantage.
    • Extensive knowledge in programming and operating Fanuc and or Mazak CNC controllers would be an advantage.
    • Enhanced mechanical analytical and troubleshooting skills
    • Previous industry experience in heavy steel manufacturing industry.
    • Will have unrestricted working rights in Australia.

    • Required to work both dayshift or nightshift when required.

    Essential requirements:

    • Current coal board medical, Standard 11 & working at heights.

    We are seeking an experienced Store Person to join our Paget team who can demonstrate the following attributes:

    • 2+ years previous warehousing experience with ERP
    • Intermediate computer literacy skills with proficiency in MS Office suite
    • Current high risk Forklift License
    • Current Class C manual Driver’s License
    • Other tickets such as scaffolding, gantry crane, EWP would be highly regarded
