Your future role

The Robotics Operator has a responsibility for ensuring a high standard of welding on Austin Engineering Ltd Products, within a time frame set whilst maintaining efficient quality control consistent with Company Standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Follow all Austin Engineering Ltd Policies and Procedures including but not limited to: Occupational Health and Safety Policy, Personal Protective Equipment Policy, Environmental Policy, Equal Employment Opportunity Policy, Fitness for Work Policy, Injury Management Policy, Non-Smoking Policy, Alcohol and Drugs Policy and The Safety and Induction Handbook
  • Take responsibility for the maintenance and procedures of workshop robotics equipment and continually review existing plant locations for maximum efficiency. 
  • Weld products in accordance with approved weld procedures and drawings.
  • Operate Robots and within company safety Procedures and Policies.
  • Ensure all new programmes are backed up.
  • Ensure Product quality prior to dispatch from robot cell.
  • Report needs for repairs and maintenance of robotic equipment.
  • Ensure company engineering standards are followed without exception on all items fabricated within the workshop.
  • Adhere to supervisor instructions and discuss any problems or issues with your supervisor.
  • Ensure responsibility is taken for your Austin Engineering Ltd toolbox and equipment supplied by the company. Any equipment found defective it is the employees’ responsibility to tag out following the Austin Engineering Ltd tagging procedure and report to your department supervisor.
  • Actively model company policies and practices as per direction from Department Supervisors.
  • Follow Austin Engineering Ltd Personal Protective Equipment Policy at all times and it is the employee’s duty of care to maintain work clothing and safety boots at all times.

  • To be able to demonstrate the ability to carry out programming of robotic products. 
  • Experience using a plasma cutting machine.

Your future role

The Product Support Manager is accountable to the Sales Manager West for the efficient administration and control of all sales enquiries from the quote through to delivery and after sales support. This role will require regular customer site interaction for product inspection and support.

Role duties 

  • Ensure that all after sales enquiries are managed in a timely and professional manner.
  • Provide technical advice and assistance to all customers in a timely manner.

  • Ensure all relevant department managers are informed of any customer issues arising during the project which may lead to a delay in delivery or a cost overrun.
  • Provide internal recommendations on product improvements from customer feedback in the field including the collection, collation and analysis of product performance data.
  • Coordinate and manage all enquiries received by the sales department for all new products and after sales support.
  • Keep up to date with competitors market price movements and in particular with current competitor strategy.
  • Follow the quoting and tendering procedure in accordance with the Corporate Delegation of Authority document
  • Work with the sales staff to develop new and innovative ways to improve estimating accuracy and improve the time in completing quotes for customers.

Role duties 

  • Preparation and analysis of management accounts and financial reports.
  • Assist the BU Finance Lead with the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
  • Oversight of accounts payable/receivable functions
  • Management of audit engagements

Your future role

Austin-Mainetec has an exciting permanent full-time employment opportunity for an experienced qualified Accountant at our purpose-built manufacturing facility in Mackay, QLD. The BU Finance Lead / Senior Financial Planning & Analysis is accountable to the BU General Manager (GM) for improving and maintaining transparent, accurate and complete financial month end process, reporting and analysis, planning and budgeting, forecasting, order book pipelines. 

The role will actively contribute and collaborate with the GM in all matters of Operational Financial management. In doing so, is the primary interface with Group Finance for all Operations Finance matters whilst working closely with the Global Operations Head of Financial Planning & Analysis.

Role duties 

  • Maintaining a strict and robust control environment, in line with Austin’s Global Policies.
  • Overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll.
  • Reviewing general journals.
  • Managing project costing, job profitability reviews and revenue pipeline / order book management
  • Detailed first review of all outgoing bank payments.
  • Responsible for the review of weekly cash information including: Cash balances report; Day by day cash flows for the next week; Weekly cash forecast for next 12 weeks; Cash flow forecast prepared on time and accurate to ensure self-sustaining cash management.
  • Managing balance sheet reconciliation process and state-based taxation requirements.
  • Responsible for the submission of month end financial reports with a high level of accuracy

Role duties :

  • Manage and oversee production quality to ensure compliance to codes, standards, regulations, equipment specific specifications and requirements.
  • Advancing quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the organization.
  • Managing the development and implementation for planning, fabrication, inspection, documentation, and operations activities including:
  • Planning duties within the Quality Control personnel related work schedules.
  • Establishing service standards for end users (i.e., internal department or external customer);
  • Identifying and developing Quality Control personnel certification requirements and continuing education/training needs;
  • Developing and implementing risk-based inspection activities and processes, using API 580 and other similar programs to develop internal standard practices.
  • Managing plant integrity through a failure analysis reporting system and following up on recommendations.
  • Oversee supervision of all visual inspections and NDE, including 3rd party subcontractors.
  • Managing inspection, NDE, and testing plans for new construction, repair work, and alterations.
  • Identify and develop solutions to correct inspection function deficiencies.
  • Manage construction processes, plant equipment, inspection and NDE personnel certification and QMS internal audits.
    MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS & LICENCES
    • 5+ years working experience and knowledge as a professional engineer within the pressure equipment industry, although a structural steel background will be an added benefit.
    • Advanced experience working within local jurisdictional and regulatory authorities and possessed Welding Engineer Certificated is preferred.
    • Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in understanding and performing quality inspection pressure equipment in a plant or a fabrication/repair organization.
    SKILLS & EXPERTISE
    • Advance knowledge of qualifying ASME WPS and welder/welding operator qualifications, including local regulation requirements.
    • Good verbal and written communication skills, including advanced knowledge of AWS A3.0 Welding Terms and Definitions. Advanced knowledge of welding inspection and related NDE methods (MT, PT, UT, and RT), including ASME Sec. V requirements.
    • Experience performing corrosion monitoring and API 579-1/ASME FFS-1 fitness for service (FFS) analysis of pressure equipment.
    • Advanced knowledge of project specific documentation related to new equipment turnover for installation, inspection, testing, repairs, and alterations
    • Ability to ensure correct codes, standards, job specifications, project procedures, federal and provincial regulations are properly identified, correctly specified in detail, and met or exceeded.

    • Keep up to date with competitors market price movements and in particular with current competitor strategy.
    • Follow the quoting and tendering procedure in accordance with the Corporate Delegation of Authority document
