Austin’s core competitive advantage is in its engineering intellectual property, knowledge and experience. Through which its customised products provide compelling productivity gains for its clients.

Austin designs and manufactures customised dump truck bodies, buckets, water tanks, tyre handlers and other ancillary products utilised in the mining industry.  Austin is a complete service provider, offering on and off-site repair and maintenance as well as heavy equipment lifting to its clients.

    Publicly listed on the Australian Stock Exchange. Acquired John’s Engineering & Cranes (JEC™) in Perth, Australia.

    Acquired Kaldura Heavy Industries in Australia.

  • 2007

    Acquired Aust Bore Pty Ltd (Austbore) in Mackay, Australia and Western Technology Services (Westech™) in Casper, Wyoming.

  • 2009

    Acquired Conymet truck body business in La Negra, Chile.

  • 2010

    Acquired Pilbara Hire Group and Phillips Engineering both in Western Australia. Purchased COR Cooling Pty Ltd.

  • 2011

    Austin Antofagasta workshop in Chile. Austin Engineering™ Indonesia commenced operations on Batam Island.

    Acquired V&V Calama in Chile
    Acquired Petroaceros SAC in Lima, Peru
    Completion of workshop in Barranquilla, Colombia
    Acquired additional COR Cooling business in QLD, NSW and SA.

    Completion of 2nd workshop in Batam, Indonesia
    Acquired Servigrut in Antofagasta, Chile.

    Closure of Brisbane manufacturing facility
    Sale of COR Cooling.

    Rebranded the company as Austin, integrating all global operations under one business model.

    Closure of Muswellbrook operations workshop and site services, Hunter Valley.

    Exit crane business in Chile to focus on core competency.

    Complete refinancing and divest from Colombia. Established strategic alliance in Africa with ETT.
